The whole city of Valencia becomes an open stage where visitors are surprised at every corner by the strains of festive music.
Traditional Valencian music, performed by countless music societies and tabal and dolçaina groups, has expanded its repertoire thanks to popular celebrations like the Fallas. The city streets are full of music at all hours, with compositions played by musicians at all the various events held by Fallas Commissions throughout the day.
Many original scores are written for the Fallas, usually in the form of pasodobles and other popular styles, and some of these are now the official anthems of the event.
Musicians from all parts of the Valencia Region come to the city for the Fallas to join the celebrations, with marching bands, concerts and impromptu celebrations in practically every street of the city.
